About Xtend-LifeLearn what makes the Xtend-Life line of nutritional supplements so special... |
In 1998 Warren Matthews (a New Zealander) at the age of 51 'retired' from his business developing and manufacturing large ocean going yachts to join with his son Lance (age 22 at the time) in investigating the viability of a new business related to a subject they were both passionate about... health! Warren had a personal agenda and that was to learn how he could slow down the aging process and enjoy the next 50 years in vibrant health. Between 1998 and 2000 Lance and Warren worked fulltime on researching the subject of preventative medicine, anti-aging and health. They also traveled the world reviewing the supplement industry, including visiting manufacturing and research facilities. They found that much of the industry was inherently 'dishonest' and used substandard ingredients, had poor quality control systems, and that many products did not contain what the label claimed. In addition, many of the products on the market were designed from a 'marketing' viewpoint and not a scientific basis for efficacy. Also, personal customer service was generally poor as well. As a result of this two-year research Warren and Lance could see the opportunity to enter the industry with a range of 'honest' products that worked, as well as providing accurate and honest information to those who wanted it. In late 1999, Xtend-Life Natural Products (Intl) Ltd, a specialty international dietary supplement company became a reality. It is a fully owned subsidiary of Xtend-Life Holdings Ltd which in turn is privately owned by trusts controlled by the Matthews family. The Xtend-Life group is debt free, well funded, has no obligations to any banks or venture capitalists. The company's growth is steady thanks to an exceptionally high repeat order rate and constant referrals by existing customers. Fair company profits are achieved without disadvantaging customers thanks to a very 'lean' and efficient company structure which permits pricing to be the most competitive in the world, with no sacrifice in quality. There is no shareholder or outside pressure to increase profits as the company philosophy is that profits are an automatic adjunct to providing the best possible products and service. Early in the year 2000 Warren was fortunate to make the acquaintance of Prof. Dr. Munem Daoud who was visiting Auckland, New Zealand at the time. He is considered to be one of the world's most brilliant biochemists and is regularly consulted by a number of governments throughout the world, in addition to developing complex formulas and delivery systems for some of the world's top companies. Over the last few years that rapport has grown into a close friendship, so much so that Dr. Munem now supervises the R&D program for Xtend-Life. This has enabled Xtend-Life to develop products that cannot be matched for efficacy or 'value for money' by any other company in the world. Unlike most other supplement companies who contract or 'private label' their products Xtend-Life totally controls the manufacturing process through all stages. Raw ingredients are only sourced from GMP registered and audited facilities. They are required to meet rigorous testing. The company has invested in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and processes, thus ensuring unsurpassed quality and safety of all of its products. All manufacturing is carried out in New Zealand, with the majority of the administration also in New Zealand. We also maintain a small accounting presence via our US office in San Diego, USA. Customers are serviced in more than 32 countries. Visit the Xtend-Life web site to learn more...
