I really want to lose about 10 or 15 pounds by the end of january. What is the best overall way to do this? I'm willing to exercise 3 days a week max and eat a healthy diet, but I NEED my carbs so low-carb isn't an option for me. Thanks for your help! -B

@karen
walking is really much different than running. you work diff. muscle groups and your heart works much harder when running. Weights can really make a difference but Just get out there and exercise!
Hi Carli
You should try to swim 2 day a week taht works pretty good!
I am trying to find the best workouts for building muscle and getting rid of fat. The area I am most concerned about is my abs. I 33, soon to be 34, 5.2 and approx. 107-109 lbs. My goal is to be about 18-19% body fat and from my estimates I am around 20-22. I excercise 5-6 days a week for at least an hour at a time with cardio and weights. I have started mixing in some resistance training videos to help me get toned. What else could you recommend? Thank you!
Hello,
If you want someone to help you write an article on finding cardio equipment I am more than qualified to help! I'm very willing to contribute a guest article to your site!

I'll tell you a question that Im asked often: "Is lifting weights bad for the ladies?"
Hi, I'm 21 and I just recently joined a gym. I have been unhappy about my body for a long time, fluctuating weight for years, going up 15 dropping 20 gaining it back struggling to lose it again with (really) crappy diets, fads, tricks, techniques. This year I decided NO MORE. I am going to do it right so I joined a gym. I am 145lbs and my 2010 goal is to lose 15-20 of them and get lean and toned. Since I started maybe 2 weeks ago I have become an exercise junkie spending as much as 3-4 hours at the gym, 5-6 days a weelk: 1 - 2 hours cardio doing back to back gym classes like spinning than dancing than yoga and than another hour of weight training. I don't want to miss a day even if Im a little sore. I'm just wondering if this is too much exercise. My boyfriend is telling me to slow down but I feel like its not enough.
Hello Margot,
spending 3-4 hours in the gym is truly too much. Remember, the key factor in achieving your body goals is training intensity and continuity. If you take too much, you'll soon get demotivated and give it up, unless you are a very very very disciplined person :) So try to do the same what you do now, just fit it into a shorter time = decreasing the breaks between excercise series, increasing cardio intensity, etc.
One hour body training + 40 mins cardio 3-4 times a week is enough. Your body needs to rest too. And the golden rule is NEVER give up.. Even the worst body workout system in the world will get you excelent results, if you stick to it for a long enough time.
