Hindu Workout Video

I've mentioned in the past that I think hindu squats are among the most-effective exercises for increasing functional leg strength, endurance and flexibility. Along with hindu pushups, they can be used for extremely effective full-body conditioning without the need for weights or any other type of equipment.

The history of wrestling and "physical culture" in India is pretty interesting, to say the least. Indian wrestlers (many of whom are considered to be among history's greatest) use an array of vigorous exercises to build incredible functional strength for fighting. Here's a great video clip from the 1950's I just found that shows a part of a traditional "Hindu" workout:
